Many game servers are hosted on budget network backbones that provide limited peering to keep the cost low. This results in some players having somewhat low pings while others have bad routing to the server and therefore have higher pings. Also the network can become congested and lose or slow down the flow of data.
Our servers are hosted on the Internap backbone. Internap is THE best network we know of to prevent bad routing and conjestion and why it is our choice for hosting premium game servers. This high performance network provides direct connections to the most number of backbone providers and dynamic rerouting of server to client communications so that each player will get the most direct route to the server resulting in the lowest pings for all players. This is especially important for hosting clan matches where players are connecting from different locations across North America.
Server Config Options
Tick Rate is a setting in the server configuration that determins how many times per second the server will calculate player positions and send out updates to every player in the game. Higher tick rates give a smoother and more precise feel to the game with crisper movement and more reliable hit detection.
We offer up to 80 tick rate for Unreal Tournament based games and 100 tick rate for Half-Life Source based games (that's up to 80-100 updates per second, compared to 20-35 for many other game host providers).
Higher tick rates cost a little more because it puts more load on the server. However we belive you get what you pay for. A super smooth, high tick rate game server is a pleasure to play on. If you think higher tickrates don't make a difference or cause poor performance, this may be because you have unknowingly played on overloaded and underperforming servers in the past. We urge you to try some of our test srevers and see for yourself if you notice the difference. We think you will.
If you and your team demand the best performance in game servers, we will provide what you need. If you don't require high tick rate for your server that's fine too, we have a range of options available to meet every gamer's needs.

We can host IRC Bots for various games. Currently we have COD4 bots ready to install with your game server.
We use custom configured quality SuperMicro brand hardware to run our games. We use fast RAM, fast hard drives, and of course fast CPU's. It just wouldn't make sense to run slow PC's on our high end dedicated Internap network connections. The high tickrate game servers require fast machines, and we aim to deliver solid performance.

Game Control Panel
We provide all of our clients with a top notch web-based control panel to control all aspects of their game server. You can do much more than start/stop your server. You can upload maps and edit config files, perform Steam updates, install map packs and patch upgrades, even monitor activity on your server with graphs showing number of players over the month. Check out a demo of the web based control panel here. Just login with user=demouser and password=demouser.
You will also have full FTP access to your game directory if you prefer to use that method to update files.
